Free Wordpress MU .EDU Part 2
March 20th, 2008
Well it seems i may be falling at the first hurdle. I have made a few unique posts to my new free .EDU blog and also done a small amount of social bookmarking a linking with quality sites of the same niche. BUT…..
It still has NOT been indexed by any of the main search engines and get zero traffic!! There are numerous (100+) other blogs indexed in google some with a small PR rating too.
It has only now been 3 weeks i suppose so plenty of time yet, but with many new domains google has been indexing them all within 3-4 days at most. Maybe that is me getting lucky sometime as i keep reading horror stories, but i had hoped this blog would at least be indexed by now.
I will keep all readers informed over the next few days and see if it gets indexed then hopefully the incoming links will increase the PR. But that could be well over 12 months plus at this rate.!!
Can I Really Pay to get into the DMOZ?
September 25th, 2007
Theres a few really major directories on the internet, it is widely believed that inclusion in these directories will boost your search engine rankings.
The two main directories to be included in are (in case you didn’t know) Yahoo which apparently has a free inclusion option but I can’t find it, the only option I can find is to pay $399 and theres is no gaurantee. The Second one is the Open Directory Project which is free but it takes ages to be listed and they only accept quality sites.
I have found a site where a few people claim they can get my sites listed in the dmoz for about $50.
Is it a scam? Yours views please
